Jesse Thornton

A carpenter by trade, Jesse has been designing homes, timber-frames and pre-fab packages for the last 10 years. His background in construction and fabrication helps him design efficient and cost-effective solutions.
Jesse enjoys the rural Kootenay lifestyle and is passionate about his family and playing music.

Our design-process is based on a close collaboration with our clients, builders and other design professionals. Realizing our client’s needs and wishes is always our highest priority. Designing and building a new home can be both challenging and very rewarding. We endeavor to take the stress and uncertainty out of the experience and provide a clear path from the initial concept to the finished home.
“As part of the project team, Kai was a dependable partner on our unique and ambitious Sewell’s Marina development. His project management skills and clear communication were a big asset in helpings us achieve our project goals and maintain a tight schedule. I don’t think we would have had such a successful outcome without him on the team."
Leigh Edge / Senior Superintendent / Icon West Construction

We believe strongly that the home-design should respond to the site – the climate, sun aspect, geography, view opportunities, as well as neighbouring properties and dwellings. We have extensive experience with high-performance and sustainable building practices, if you choose to include those features into your new home.

Ultimately, we believe a good home should be:
-
Structurally sound and easy to maintain
-
Functionally efficient and thoughtfully detailed
-
A delight to experience for occupants and observers
